"By fate, two men are born on the same
day. By destiny, they die at excatly the same moment. By
a supernatural act, they both come back to life. One
good.... One evil.... One body...."
There is a great quote from 'Today'
on the back cover - "God might move in mysterious
ways but, in Hollywood, Satan has all the best
parts".

The Rollerblade Seven
"When the Evil Overlord, Pharaoh
ruler of the wheel-zone, sends his killing hoards to
abduct the beautiful enchantress Sparrow, Queen
of light, he upsets the worlds fragile balance. The
Master of Light dispatches The Rollerblade Seven
into the Wheelzone to rescue the beauty and save the
world from perpetual darkness. Facing a gauntlet of
perils, the Rollerblade Champions must battle their way
through many deviant zones ruled by vicious gangs before
coming up against the ultimate horror, The Black
Night, the only obstacle left between themselves and
Sparrow."
This film is dire. You simply have
to watch it. When you do - don't blame me.

Rejunevator
"In a tale of absolute horror and
suspense her new-found beauty transforms Ruth Warren into
a monstrous inhuman creation, a living nightmare with no
feeling, wantonly destroying anything in its path! Rejuvenator,
the reality of an evil transformation!"
I think the writer is trying to say
something here. Not sure what though. Ho hum. This film
is pretty poor.

Real Men
"They have five days to save the world
from bizarre deadly enemies. But do the unlikely team of
a no-holds-barred CIA agent paired with a meek insurance
agent have what it takes to be REAL MEN? Legendary CIA
sensation Nick Pirandello has a terrible reputation: his
partners have a nasty habit of dying while on assignment.
Mild-mannered Bob Wilson is a dead ringer for a man
recently murdered by enemy forces and the government
desperately needs him to make an important exchange.
Together this odd couple clash in every area of
experience, sensitivity and toughness. And they need to
mesh their personalities now that the safety of their
country - and each other - is at stake. With the fate of
mankind depending on the success of their top secret
mission, the unpredictable duo must discover what it
takes to be REAL MEN in today's demanding world if they
are to survive."
This is the kind of film that James
Belushi excels in. Perhaps that's why he has done about 7
million similar ones. This is good. It's funny, it's fast
paced and it's got guns in it, oh yeah and it's also got
a good score from me.

"A sudden storm brings a shower of
polluted rain, and in a downtown cemetery something stirs
six feet under. The bad news is the living dead are back.
The worse news is they haven't had a decent meal for
years. And as any body will tell you there's nothing a
greedy ghoul likes more than human brains. A special
effects masterpiece. 'The Return of the Living Dead' has
it's rotting tongue wedged firmly in its ghoulish green
cheek. Sometimes you won't know whether to laugh or
scream but remember it could never happen ... or could
it?"
It could happen, couldn't it? But
surely they couldn't make a sequel? (or 4)

Return of the Living Dead, Part II
"Some mysterious Army barrels packed
with bodies and green vapour topple from a transport
truck travelling through a small town. It's this vapour
that can turn the living into zombies, and the dead into
the non-dead, so when a couple of bullies crack one open,
things don't look too bright for the local
inhabitants."
Turning the living into
zombies is a new twist - sort of "Return of the
Living Living!". As for non-dead, don't they mean
un-dead?

Ring
"Within a week of watching a
mysterious videotape, a group of teenagers are dead. The
bodies are found gruesomely contorted, their eyes frozen
as if they had seen something more terrifying than any
physical threat.
The video becomes an urban myth. Insidiously, an unseen
force is pointing its deadly finger at those poor souls
unable to resist their curiosity, One of those people is
the cynical journalist Reiko, who soon finds herself
unwillingly drawn into a spiraling nightmare of fear from
an unseen, omnipresent threat."
First of a 3 part Ring series. This
film needs to be watched with no distractions and the
lights off. It is a bit spooky. Not the usual blood and
guts type film you will find elsewhere in my collection

Ring - 2
"After losing her boyfriend to
the deadly virus which took its grip in the first
instalment of the Ring series, journalist Mai Takano
decides to conduct her own investigation into the powers
of the lethal videotape. Along the way she witnesses the
gruesome effects wrought up on those who have been
exposed to it, until eventually her investigation leads
her deeper and deeper into the dark world of
Sadako."
Part 2. I've given it the same
rating as the first part, but I feel this really is
better than the first part. Again, dark room and no
distractions or you will miss the true horror of this
film.
