Fright Night

"Charles Brewster is a normal American teenager whose mother thinks he watches too many late night horror films. Charley's life is pretty uneventful until he becomes convinced that his suave and sinister neighbour Jerry Dandridge is a vampire. No one, least of all the police, will believe that Dandridge is the vicious killer responsible for a spate of bizarre murders. Charley finds an ally in Peter Vincent, a former horror film star and host of TV's Fright Night theatre, in his quest to nail the debonair bloodsucker. But then the nightmare really begins..."

This is a good film. No really it is. It just should not have been an 18 certificate. 12 maybe.

Flesh Eating Mothers

"The setting is peacful suburbia. The Beaver might have grown up here watching "Father Knows Best"... but something is amiss. It seems a very weird virus has turned every mom in town into a cannibalistic monster! Now, the children must band together to save themselves from ending up in a jam - or in a pickle! The critics have been eating up this tongue-in-cheek campy classic, now it's your turn to experience Flesh Eating Mothers.

I saw a copy of this film at my local video shop, when I went back to rent it, the shop had closed down and was selling off some it's old classics. Oh, and this film.

Flesh for Frankenstein

Flesh for Frankenstein

"A vision of a new generation of almost catatonic young, sexually indescriminate, interchangeable in their parts, fill the screen with a cavalcade of innards pushed into the faces of the audience, - a highly original vision, - a perversely fascinating movie."

There was not actually a description of the film on the back cover, just a selection of great reviews. This one was from 'newsweek'. Never heard of it. I suppose its American. Anyway, good twist on the Frankenstein theme. Lots of blood.

Flash Gordon

"Ming the Merciless is out to destroy the Earth and only one person can stop him!
Flash Gordon (Sam J. Jones) is zapped from Earth into a sci-fi adventure on planet Mungo with his beautiful companion Dale (Melody Anderson). In an attempt to put an end to Ming the Merciless' plans to destroy the Earth, Flash battles Ming's goons and declines the advances of Princess Aura (Ornelia Muti). With the help of Prince Barin (Timothy Dalton) and Prince Vultan (Brian Blessed) Flash Gordon takes the Ming empire by storm...

Flash, Flash, I love you... but we only have 24 hours to save the Earth.
What a superb film. It's not horror, but as it has just been reduced in my local film shop, it had to be bought. Inspired role by Peter Duncan aswell.
