"It is a time of great evil. The Army
of Darkness is rising. Into this medieval confusion
arrives Ash, newly transported from the 20th century. He
is reluctantly hailed as a hero sent to oppose the
Deadites. Fully armed with a chainsaw, a shotgun and a
'73 sedan, he goes in search for the 'Book of the Dead'
which contains the spell to open the doorway through
time. Unfortunately, Ash, not being the brightest of
heroes, reads out the wrong spell, ressurecting the Army
of Dead. Will the world be plunged into darkness,
forever? Will he save the beautiful maiden, Sheila? Does
one loudmouth, cowardly hero really care? Find out as
Director, Sam Raimi, brings this hilarious third part of
the 'Evil Dead' series back to life."
What better film to have as the
first on your shelf? This is a great film with just
enough horror and comedy to make it enjoyable but not too
over the top.

"Two American students on
vacation are confronted with an ancient terror as they
walk along the moors on a moonlit night. Superb special
effects with a fine Elmer Bernstein score. Winner of an
Academy Award for Best Make-Up in 1981."
I'm not a huge hairy beast
fan, but this one is a must have.

Apollo 13
"It has been less than a year
since man first walked on the Moon, but as far as the
American public was concerned, Apollo 13 was just another
'routine' space flight - until these words pierced the
immense void of space: 'Houston, we have a problem.' A
riveting suspense thriller from Imagine
Entertainment."
I suppose if you are
American you might care a bit more about thispointless
boring film, but I'm not. I don't even care that it was a
true story. Save your true stories for someone else. Not
me.

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
"When yet another secret
government project goes awry, nature runs amuck! This
time, garden variety tomatoes take on mammoth proportions
and crabby dispositions, and begin attacking innocent
people! Special investigator Mason Dixon heads a...
special investigation in an effort to save the world from
total tomatofication. Includes in-your-face humor,
hilarious fashions, long-lost footage, and bran-new,
never-before-seen stuff, like an exlusive interview with
a confessed killer tomato. You'll never look at a salad
bar the same way again!"
Well, what can I say about
this film? It's strange how Mars Attacks is so similar
really. Worth watching, just turn the sound down when the
singing starts!
